An initiative has been taken in order to produce drinking water, energy drinks, rice crackers and for this purpose we are going to set up the Beverage & Foods industry.
Europa Beverage & Foods Ltd. will produce 100% export quality energy drink, mineral water & rice crackers which will be located at Nairpukur par, Mohakali, Munshigonj Sadar, Munshigonj. The drinking water, energy drinks and rice crackers will be produced in a controlled environment using most sophisticated and update machinery. There is very prospective beverage market especially drinking water & energy drinks in Bangladesh. The rice crackers production will be the first time in Bangladesh. So, there is a huge market for this product.
At present, related works to set up the plant are going on promptly.

Bangladesh is one of the major potato growing countries in South Asia. Although we grow potato in a large quantity, our consumption is not as large therefore we have to export potato. It is being observed that our sub-continent prefer ready to cook food stuff including potato. So, we thought that it will be worthwhile to produce potato flakes which is in great demand in Europe and parts of Asia as people find this ready to cook food, easy to handle, time saving, economic, environment friendly chemical fertilizer free, sugar free, fat free Carbohydrate and Hygienic.
 
Judging its potential as an export oriented product and at the same time assessing the possibility of utilizing potato likely to be wasted each year, we decided to install an industrial unit which will not only take care of the above but also will contribute considerably in earning foreign exchange. So the Euro Potato Flakes Ltd. came into being. The management is aware of the fact that to catch up with the international market, we have to obtain ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System Certification for which we have set up an elaborate in house quality control organization and this is being run by expert professionals. And already we have obtained ISO 9001:2000 QMS Certification.

Production:
Europa Group has in its fold a few industrial units involving production of potato flakes. Every sector of our potato flakes industry which is christened as Euro Potato Flakes Ltd. and in turn each one of our clients is of supreme importance to us. As already stated, a highly motivated team of professionals manage each sector of our business interest.
Therefore, our clients can rest assured that we will supply quality product, maintain continuity of product quality and ensure regular and timely supply. We are focused on maintaining / liaising with our clients to check back about quality of product and regularity of supply.

Potato flakes, due to simplicity of use and preparation of food items from it, reduction of loss during processing and storing, reduction of transport costs and possibility of use across the world, has become a ‘global product’.
Potato flakes offered by us can boast of being a high quality product comparable with any other brand available in South Asia or in any other part of the world. The technological process of potato flakes production consists of the following stages:

# Controlling of metal existence, hard points, black points and moisture content etc.

Flakes may include additives, vitamins and packaging according to customers’ requirement also.

The Ministry of Shipping has issued 50 licenses of container feeder vessels which will be serving for the Pangaon Inland Container Terminal (PICT) in Dhaka. The PICT has been funded by CPA to facilitate increased volume of trade within the country. The ships will make a major contribution in our economy for port service enhancement & at the same time they will play a major role in reduction of traffic density in highways by transferring the mass imported goods by river. Statistics say that last year Chittagong port received 15lac TEUs of containers which is also growing by 20% per annum & it will reach an optimum level of 30lac in the coming years. 90% of these goods are transferred to various destinations within the country either by rail or road. The new 50 container ships for PICT will be able to carry 2.5lac TEUs per year.
We are proud to say that one license has been issued in favor of our above limited company for operation of 01 (One) nos. 82 Mtr. Container Feeder Vessel which will play in the inland river route of Chittagong to Pangaon. This has provided us an opportunity to serve for the betterment of the country.
At present construction works of a 176 Tues Container Feeder Vessel “M.V. SIARA ERESHVA” is going on promptly to carry containers commercially inside Bangladesh ( Pangaon/Chittagong/Mongla).

 
Keel Laying of “M.V. SIARA ERESHVA”:
The keel laying ceremony for the “M.V. SIARA ERESHVA” Vessel was held at Western Marine Shipyard Ltd. Chittagong.
The Chairman Salim Chowdhury & Managing Director Shihab Chowdhury of EUROPA GROUP was present at the ceremony. The keel laying of the first vessel marks another significant milestone for the M.R. Global Ltd.(sister concern of EUROPA GROUP).

The vessel will carry containers by the year 2015 commercially.
