The Ministry of Shipping has issued 50 licenses of container feeder vessels which will be serving for the Pangaon Inland Container Terminal (PICT) in Dhaka. The PICT has been funded by CPA to facilitate increased volume of trade within the country. The ships will make a major contribution in our economy for port service enhancement & at the same time they will play a major role in reduction of traffic density in highways by transferring the mass imported goods by river. Statistics say that last year Chittagong port received 15lac TEUs of containers which is also growing by 20% per annum & it will reach an optimum level of 30lac in the coming years. 90% of these goods are transferred to various destinations within the country either by rail or road. The new 50 container ships for PICT will be able to carry 2.5lac TEUs per year.
We are proud to say that one license has been issued in favor of our above limited company for operation of 01 (One) nos. 82 Mtr. Container Feeder Vessel which will play in the inland river route of Chittagong to Pangaon. This has provided us an opportunity to serve for the betterment of the country.
At present construction works of a 176 Tues Container Feeder Vessel “M.V. SIARA ERESHVA” is going on promptly to carry containers commercially inside Bangladesh ( Pangaon/Chittagong/Mongla).

Keel Laying of “M.V. SIARA ERESHVA”:
The keel laying ceremony for the “M.V. SIARA ERESHVA” Vessel was held at Western Marine Shipyard Ltd. Chittagong.
The Chairman Salim Chowdhury & Managing Director Shihab Chowdhury of EUROPA GROUP was present at the ceremony. The keel laying of the first vessel marks another significant milestone for the M.R. Global Ltd.(sister concern of EUROPA GROUP).

The vessel will carry containers by the year 2015 commercially.
